How to Strikethrough on Google Docs
You can use the keyboard shortcut to apply strikethrough (or remove it) on Google Docs, whether you use Windows or Mac Book, strikethrough format can be applied easily by performing these below keyboard shortcuts.
If you are a Windows user:
You have to select the text in the Google Docs that you want to strikethrough and apply the below shortcuts.
Keyboard Shortcuts: Press Alt + Shift + 5
If you are a Mac user:
Select the text in the Google Docs that you want to strikethrough, and apply the below shortcuts.
Keyboard Shortcuts: Press ⌘ + Shift + X
Note: To remove strikethrough on the text, simply repeat the above keyboard shortcuts.
Using the Format menu to apply strikethrough
If you do not use the keyboard shortcuts, you can have another alternative to use the Format menu on Google docs to apply strikethrough by using it.
- First of all, go to your Google Docs and select the text that you want to strikethrough.
- Now, go to the Menu Bar on the top of Google Docs, and click on the “Format” menu and then select “Text”
- The Sub-menu appears, from which you have to select “Strikethrough”
- That’s it, the selected text will be strikethrough
