Instagram update: Instagram is developing a new Stories style that hides excessive posts
Instagram, which is owned by Meta, is said to be developing a new Stories style that hides excessive posts. Currently, users can publish 100 Stories at once.
Instagram Stories are a simple and quick way to share memories and experiences. Bring your tale to life using text, music, stickers, and GIFs.
You can also share your stories as Highlights on your profile for more than 24 hours.
Users who have got the update must hit a “Show All” button to see the remainder of the Stories. Otherwise, Instagram will go on to the next user’s Stories.
“According to 9To5Mac, Phil Ricelle, a Brazilian Instagram user noticed that the Instagram app now only shows three of the Stories shared by other people,” IANS report said.
As per report, this results in a fundamental change in how Instagram Stories operates. Because some users are accustomed to tapping the screen to see all of their account’s Stories at once, this will no longer be possible after the update.
This means that any postings made after the third Story will most likely receive less views.
Limiting the number of Stories displayed in the app should allow users to see posts from more people faster if they aren’t interested in that content.
According to the source, just a small number of users have received the update with the new Stories layout, implying that Instagram is currently testing the changes before sending them out to all users.
