First of all, let us know about the eligible criteria for tagging someone on YouTube.
The eligibility criteria for tagging someone on YouTube is that you must have 1000 subscribers on your YouTube Channel. This feature is not available for those who have fewer than 1000 subscribers on their YouTube channel.
How to tag other creator on YouTube?
When you create or making editing in the title or description of a YouTube video, type the “@” symbol followed by another creator channel name, and select it.
Just for an example, “Title of a video @creator channel Name”. You can mention as many people as you want to tag, though their channel names must fit within the character limit as assigned by YouTube.
Does another creator know that he/she has been tagged by someone?
Yes, when you tag another creator in your video title or in the description of your video, their name will link to their channel homepage, and he/she will be informed and get a notification in their inbox.
A video that mentions your channel name may show up to your subscribers as a recommendation.

You can get a notification, when someone mentions you on YouTube. Though, not every mention triggers a notification, but only the important ones do. Please note, you will get a notification when a creator with a similar or higher amount of subscribers mentions you.
In order to check who mentions you, follow these steps and get to know for yourself.
a) If you are checking via Mobile phones, then follow these below steps:
Tap to YouTube app, then tap on Notification Bell, as shown in the below image.
Tap on “Mentions” option, and you will get a list of creator who mentions you on YouTube.
b) If you are on your desktop,
Click on YouTube.com, then click on Notification Bell.
Then go to Settings button right below the notification bell, and you will reach to the below page.
Now, scroll the page below and you will find option “Mentions” under your preferences, make sure that toggle button is on, as shown in the above image.
