It is easy to split the screen on your Chromebook to view and work on two windows at the same time. To split the screen between two windows, you need to open a couple of windows and drag them to the corresponding shares of the screen. How to Split Screen on Chromebook?
Below are the steps that you need to follow:
Step 1: Open the first window and click the Window reducer button on the top right corner of the screen. (You will find the reducer button between minimize and close button)
Step 2: Now, you can drag the window on either side of the screen, and a vertical line pop-up appears in the centre of the screen.
Step 3: Now, open your second Window and click the Window reducer button on the top-right corner of the screen.
Step 4: Again, drag the window into the other side of the screen and adjust the Window correctly.
That’s it! You have successfully split the screen on your Chromebook, though as and when you want, you can always go back to the typical window alignment by clicking the maximize button on the top-right corner of either of the window.
Open and Close Windows and Tabs
- To open a new window, press the “Ctrl + N” button together.
- To open a new tab, press the “Ctrl + T” button together.
- To close Window or Tab, click “Close” at the top right of the screen.
- To reopen a Window or Tab you closed, press the “Ctrl + Shift + T” button together.
