When an admin deletes a message, a user will receive the notification ‘This was deleted by an admin,’ according to WhatsApp tracker WABetaInfo.
“If you are a group admin, you will be able to delete any message for everyone in your groups, in a future update of WhatsApp beta for Android,” WABetaInfo said in a tweet. The WhatsApp tracker also included a screenshot with the tweet, demonstrating how an Android user will see a message erased by a group admin. It will be easy for group admins to delete vulgar or inappropriate communications once the feature is implemented.
WhatsApp is also working on integrating two-step authentication into its desktop and web apps. WhatsApp aims to add two-step authentication to its desktop and browser versions in the future, according to WABetaInfo. When registering your phone number with WhatsApp, you must provide a personal PIN. Two-step verification is already accessible on the mobile app version.
